Originally founded as the All England Croquet Club in 1868, today the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club is home to the Wimbledon tennis tournament. This year the tournament runs from July 1-14, 2019. Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, and is regarded by many as the most prestigious. Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the others being the Australian Open, the French Open and the US Open.
